The way this book was written just didn’t do it for me. I read this for a new book club at the library Edgar finalist and Gold Dagger winning author, Michael Robotham was born in Australia in November and grew up in small country towns that had more dogs than people and more flies than dogs. I couldn’t guess it and it was a very gripping and twisty read. Preview — Lost by Michael Robotham. I figured I would go back and read the other books in the series. Betrayal in Death That’s how I feel about this one. Lost (Joseph O’Loughlin #2) by Michael Robotham
All in all a good story, but I may not be rushing out to buy more Robotham books in the near future. I quite enjoyed this book, even if it did pretty much almost continuously flip-flop between two states, it did so in a way that wasn’t confusing. Preview — Lost by Michael Robotham.

I won’t give up on Michael Robotham as an author though. I’m finding that some of the books in this series can be stand alone reads but as always, it is better thril,er you are reihehfolge with the characters. Want to Read Currently Reading Read.

I’ll be reading the third book soon. So, I’m still going to try the next Robotham novel and hope that it’s more like Suspect for me than Lost. This time, Ruiz is in the hot seat as an amenesiac who struggles to remember how an old cold case that has always haunted him is connected to a boatload literally of blood.
There was nothing really interesting or noteworthy about it. Twelve of these non-fiction titles have been bestsellers with combined sales of more than 2 million copies. The remainder of the book is basically a mifhael investigation that is kind of boring. I enjoy the way Michael Robotham writes and look forward to cont An interesting and unusual way to write a book in a series when the main character takes a very subordinate role and the story is totally based on and about someone else! I am pretty sure I am not the only one that skipped all that.
From homeless sewer rats to high court judges, everyone is written to perfection. If there was one flaw in Lost, it would be the fanciful ending. To solve the mystery of who shot him and where the diamonds came from, Vincent has to piece together the clues with his limited memory to figure out what crime he was investigating in the first place. Vince Ruiz is pulled out the Thames, nearly drowned, suffering from gunshot wounds and with no memory whatsoever of how he got there.

For a start, I found it hard to get used to Ruiz as the first person point of view.
